Great Ways To Boost Your Immune System Naturally – Part 8

Vitamin C – IV Infused – A Simple Way To Boost Our Immune System

With our emphasis being on supporting and boosting our immune system to handle the variety of stressors we encounter daily we have certainly been on heightened alert with this recent COVID-19 situation.

Over the previous 7 days I have sent you some simple ideas on boosting your body’s immune system so you can be proactive to protect yourself and your loved ones. Thankfully, there is already one nutrient that we can each leverage to not only boost our immune system but also to prevent and potentially treat the symptoms of coronavirus: Vitamin C.

How to Treat COVID-19?

The properties of Vitamin C, a nutrient that is readily available and safe for the body, may both prevent COVID-19 infection but also treat it in patients who already have it. In fact, clinical trials are taking place right now in China using intravenous Vitamin C to treat patients who have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Vitamin C vs. Coronavirus

Vitamin C is a powerful and natural antiviral whose properties may help protect your body against the virus, minimize the possibility of the disease spreading and help prevent or treat severe acute respiratory injections.

How?

Vitamin C is also one of the most famous antioxidants, which means that it can protect the lungs from the accumulation of mucous and fluids that may occur with acute respiratory infections, which is the leading cause of death as a result of most upper respiratory viruses.

And because of these benefits that Vitamin C provides to the immune system, increasing your body’s supply of this powerhouse vitamin and antioxidant may help prevent infection altogether. In fact, we already know that using Vitamin C can prevent other infections commonly associated with the common cold and other evidence suggests that Vitamin C can shorten cold symptoms in patients where it cannot be prevented.

For all of these reasons and the amazing history behind high dose vitamin C via IV infusion for immune boosting, Dr. Richard Cheng, a lead scientist in many of the Chinese clinical trials is calling for further discussion of Vitamin C as a viable prevention and treatment option for the coronavirus.

And just to reiterate, it’s important to note that the efficacy of Vitamin C is a result of its IV delivery. The benefits of nutrient IV therapy have been known for years.  With IV therapy we are avoiding the liver and digestive system where valuable nutrients can be lost or not absorbed, whereas vitamin IV’s allow you to directly absorb important nutrients into your bloodstream for maximum benefits.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of people who do not absorb important vitamins naturally via good nutrition/dietary practices or even oral supplementation. Fortunately, to ensure the benefit of a nutrient like vitamin C and assuring good absorption utilizing IV infusion or intramuscular (IM) injections is ideal. The delivery method, whether IV or IM injection will depend on the vitamin, mineral, or amino acids we want to get into the bloodstream.

There’s a lot we can all do to support our good health and boost our immune systems and we’re here to help. If you’re interested in trying a nutrient IV as a way to help protect yourself and your loved ones just all us at 720-795-7920 to get scheduled!

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) – A Simple Way To Boost Our Immune System

Each and every day we’re all exposed to numerous stressors – emotional, physical and chemical.  And during times like these it’s vitally important to not only protect your emotional health (I suggest you disconnect from social media and stop watching the news and/or talk radio – this will be another discussion for another day) but to also provide your body with key nutrients to boost your immune system and improve wellness.

Today’s Immune Boosting suggestion is N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC).

NAC is an amino acid that helps to replenish one of the most powerful free radical scavengers in our body – glutathione.  NAC and its benefit to helping your body produce glutathione serves as a phenomenal boost to immune health.  In fact, many studies have demonstrated NAC’s immune-promoting properties specific to modulating a healthy inflammatory response to oxidative stress in the lungs.

In addition, NAC can promote optimal detoxification at the liver and help to chelate heavy metals as well but, as just mentioned and of great interest during times like now, NAC has been shown to support our body’s need during respiratory challenges. Specifically its beneficial action on thinning mucus in the lungs, making NAC an upper-respiratory powerhouse…..AND…..

…..solid scientific research indicates that NAC is one of the best nutritional support agents to not only help maintain our healthy lung function but it can also relieve symptoms of respiratory condition’s by acting as an antioxidant and expectorant to loosen mucus accumulation in our air passages.

As a final note on the immune benefits of NAC, there has also been research that has shown us supplementing with NAC can result in a significant increase in immune function by helping the body to restore natural killer cells, a type of lymphocyte associated with our innate immune system.  And so, if you are looking for another weapon to add to your Immune Support and Wellness protocol, NAC supplementation is just another simple way to do so!

Make It A Healthy Day!!

Sincerely,
Dr. Cadwell

P.S. Our PneumoVen, Premier NAC and AllerCaps are phenomenal sources of high quality N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)

Garlic  =>  Alliinase  =>  Allicin – A Simple Way To Boost Our Immune System

Garlic may well be one of the most famous of all plants in human history, revered for its wide-ranging health benefits – dating back to use by the ancient Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Babylonian and Chinese civilizations.

And for good reason!

In these modern times and our current culture there are numerous studies that have confirmed the incredible immune support properties of garlic and its apparent heavy hitter constituent, Allicin.

High amounts of Allicin, the immune supporting compound of Garlic, can promote critical mechanisms of the innate immune system and also play an essential role in the actions of our adaptive immune systems response during times of mind – body stress.

When raw garlic cloves are crushed, chopped, or chewed, an enzyme known as Alliinase is released, which then enzymatically catalyzes the formation of sulfenic acids that react with each other to form Allicin.

And it is the Allicin that gives garlic extract its broad spectrum immune support and immunomodulating properties.  And so, garlic that contains a high Allicin content is known to be a highly significant way to boost our immune systems naturally.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of garlic supplements on the shelves of health food stores and supermarkets or that many of you have brought to me to look at and most of these garlic supplements contain no or very little Allicin content.

So, if you are planning to purchase a Garlic supplement just know that a reliable garlic formula will verify its minimum Allicin concentration on the label.

Concentrated Allicin – Phenomenal Immune Support

A great source of concentrated Allicin can be found in Allicdin.

For many of you I have recommended this powerhouse product called Allicidin to serve as a powerful Immune Boosting and health support product.

Allicidin is a full spectrum, botanical formula made from high quality garlic extract and contains extremely beneficial amounts of Allicin to assist you with high end immune support naturally….without the Garlic Breath!

Make It A Healthy Day!!

Dr. Cadwell

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy vs Pharmaceuticals

Is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Safer Than Pharmaceuticals?

Hormones are chemical messengers that are involved in countless areas of human health. We literally couldn’t live without them. But many people—many mainstream doctors included—are confused about the safety of taking hormone replacement.

It makes sense why. The pharmaceutical industry has thrown major dollars and significant effort behind artificial hormone replacement drugs.

But artificial hormones aren’t working with the body to restore normal hormone levels. Instead, these foreign substances disrupt the body’s intricate processes and interactions. The reason is that artificial hormones aren’t even hormones, in the true sense of the word. Sure, they mimic hormones. But their molecular structure doesn’t match that of the body’s own hormones. And even the smallest changes in molecular structure can change how the body responds.

We have plenty of examples of chemicals mimicking hormones, with very unhealthy effects. Take BPA, for example. BPA is a chemical in plastics that mimics estrogen. When it binds with the estrogen receptor in the body, it creates a substance that interacts with DNA—and has a variety of negative health impacts (weight gain, reproductive system issues, and hormone disruption to name a few).

That’s because BPA acts like a hormone, but it isn’t actually a hormone.

The same is true of synthetic hormones like Provera (which mimics progesterone) and Premarin (which mimics estrogen). These are approved by the FDA as “hormones,” but in fact they’re not. In fact, Premarin does include one human estrogen—estrone. But since it’s made from the urine of pregnant mares, it also includes a number of horse estrogens. Those are not compounds that the human body is equipped to handle.

All that may explain why the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study found that combo of Premarin and Provera had a wide variety of negative effects:

  • It increased the risk of invasive breast cancer by 26 percent.
  • It increased the risk of heart attack.
  • It increased the risk of stroke by 41 percent.
  • It increased the risk of blood clots by a whopping 200 percent!

The WHI study makes it clear that we should not be using artificial hormones. But that doesn’t mean the only option is to suffer the effects of hormone imbalance.

A safer alternative to traditional hormone therapy

Many healthcare practitioners and their patients have found that it’s possible to reverse the effects of age-related hormone decline—think bone loss, cognitive decline, lack of libido, loss of muscle—without the risks of artificial hormones.

With bioidentical hormones, we’re able to perfectly match the molecular structure of the hormones our body creates. That means that instead of just mimicking our bodies’ hormones, we are replacing exactly what’s missing from the body. And we’re not triggering any of the negative effects caused by variations in chemical structure.

Another benefit of bioidentical hormone replacement is that it can be dosed specifically to your body’s needs. Whereas pharmaceutical hormone replacement comes in a one-size-fits-all pill, bioidentical hormone replacement—specifically when it’s given in pellet form—is formulated specifically for your body’s needs.

Your practitioner will do tests to determine exactly what—and how much—your body needs to achieve hormone balance. And then pellets will be created to match that exact dosage. So you’re only getting the amount you need, and nothing more.

At Genesis Anti-Aging and Restorative Medicine, we’re experts in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. We specialize in proper dosing to give you relief from your age-related hormone decline—without the risks of pharmaceutical hormone replacement.
